What This Is

This brief is for anyone stepping into NULL WEST — artists, witches, DJs, intuitives, wrestlers, and strange beloveds.

It isn’t a contract. It’s a map and an invitation.

  • You’re allowed to ask questions.
  • You’re allowed to set hard boundaries.
  • You’re allowed to say “no thanks” to anything.
  • You’re allowed to change your mind later.

Your “no” is canon. The Signal adjusts to you, not the other way around.

SECTION 1

What Is NULL WEST?

NULL WEST is a haunted broadcast coming out of a spaghetti western directed by Fulci.

It lives where:

  • Witch house and country music brush shoulders in a club bathroom,
  • desert sunsets glitch like broken VHS,
  • cowboys wear eyeliner and Adidas,
  • and grief, love, and survival all get the same amount of reverb.

You can think of it three ways:

  • A World – a fictional-but-not-fake desert of motels, towers, saints and ghosts.
  • A Practice – how we DJ, dress, design, write and move through real life.
  • A Signal – the feeling underneath it: “Love is the first spell. Burn accordingly.”

If it doesn’t bleed, it doesn’t transmit.
(We mean real feeling, not self-harm.)

SECTION 2

The Signal & The Desert

Signal is what we call the real thing underneath the aesthetic.

  • Signal – care, truth, the wordless “this matters.”
  • Noise – flexing, cruelty, empty clout.
  • The Desert – parking lots, late-night highways, grief years after the breakup.

NULL WEST is about carrying Signal through the desert so other people know they’re not wandering alone.

We do that with music, visuals, small rituals, and by being the safe person in the room when shit gets hard.

SECTION 3

Core Roles (Lore & Real)

Signal Priestess
Carries the broadcast, keeps the pacing gentle, remembers the rules when everyone else forgets.
Crimson Saint
Flaming vanguard. Bold, confrontational, stage-bright. Boots, fire, sunglasses, zero apology.
Spirit Hacker
Works with intuition, cards, dreams, energy, and glitch. Forest-coded but radio-literate.
Archivist
Keeps receipts and relics: flyers, manuals, screenshots, stories, playlists, weird photos.
One-Time Saint
Steps in for one run: a show, an image, a sigil, a story. Cameo energy.
Local Ghost
Maybe never “official,” but their vibe is canon: the regular, the wrestler, the one always in the crowd.
If you’re reading this, you’re probably at least one of these already.
SECTION 4

How You Can Fit In

You don’t have to be a DJ or designer. NULL WEST needs people, not just content.

1. One-Time Saint

  • Lend your face, voice, or story to a single artifact: flyer, video, sigil, outfit, poem.
  • You approve the context before anything goes live.

2. Recurring Saint / “Patron Saint of _X_”

  • Get tied to something specific — house shows, gas stations, Soft Apocalypse Sundays, etc.
  • We build recurring references to you: easter eggs, track names, visuals, ritual lines.

3. Spirit Hacker Node

  • If you’re psychic / witchy, your instincts are treated as hard data.
  • You can veto venues, imagery, or people that feel wrong. You help bless what goes out.

4. Field Operative

  • Help with deployments: envelopes, stickers, QR codes, outfits on certain nights.
  • Be the person who asks “hey, are you okay?” at exactly the right time.

5. Witness & Echo

  • Simply notice and remember. Tell us what hit, what felt off, what stayed with you.
  • Your feedback shapes future deployments.

SECTION 5

Rules of Engagement (Safety Layer)

  1. No self-harm as art. We can talk about dark feelings. We don’t glorify hurting yourself.
  2. No “alphabet bullshit.” The lore doesn’t require drugs. Especially not ketamine. If it feels tempting, that’s a get support now moment.
  3. Reality > Story. If any project or friendship starts hurting more than it helps, your safety wins. Step back.
  4. Consent is canon. No surprise trauma-dumping; no using someone’s story, face, or name without a clear yes.
  5. Sighted Saints Rule. If a weird-sensitive / psychic person says, “that feels wrong,” we treat it as a red light.
SECTION 6

The NDA Sigil

You may see a small NULL WEST NDA sigil on printed pieces or in messages.

  • The story around that sigil is meant for you, not for the timeline.
  • You can share how it felt, but not the exact words or images without consent.
  • Think of it as: “This is sacred, not secret — handle with care.”

When that sigil is present, we’re calling you heart-safe.
